Abstract
|

|
A defect due to the lesion or injury on the plantar surface of the lower extremity presents a difficult reconstruction problem to plastic surgeon.
In the past, it was accomplished with primary closure, skin graft, and local & various distant flaps but in our opinion, their efficacy is open to question.
This paper describes the method using toe skin by subcutaneous pediced island flap from the first interdigital space whose result was excellent; intact sensation, devoid of functional disability and etc.
